For me, the barbell has transformed the way I approach everything in life. As corny as that sounds, it is 100% true. Before I knew crossfit or lifting, I was trapped in my mind– hating the way I looked, and the way I felt. I was hiding in a downward spiral that only perpetuated the inner negativity I was stuck with. But once I met the barbell I learned that I was nowhere near what I thought I was capable of. I had the chance to be stronger physically, but most importantly mentally and emotionally. I learned that there’s always room to grow, to improve, to push. I learned that the choice to go further is in your hands, in your mind.

It all comes down to how much you want it, how much you have been dreaming of it, how hard you have been working for it.

I live my life telling myself that hard work will speak for me, so I put my head down and keep on lifting! I will be the first to tell myself I am not talented or gifted, but my hard work has paid off.
